MSA WORD OF THE WEEK IS – ‘predict’  Predict means to state what will happen in the future based on evidence.

AFTER SCHOOL ART STUDIO – If you have an interest in expanding your knowledge of art history and spending time creating works of art, join Ms. Curtis for a creative afternoon working in a variety of art mediums and styles beginning next Thursday, October 23, Room A252.

FOOD DRIVE – Bring in your canned and dried food beginning Mon., Oct. 20th – Nov. 7th to Ms. Tucker’s, Rm. A133.  The SGA thanks you!

MAGAZINE SALES HAVE BEEN EXTENDED TO MONDAY, OCT. 20TH - Turn in all orders and money collected.  Please make checks payable to MAF.  You must include seller name on the check.  Keep the pink copy of the order form for your records.  You can order on-line too by going to www.aphearst.com and click on “Shop on Line” and enter code#WA8067 and our school receives the profit and you, the student, receive credit toward the incentive program.  For any problems with delivery, please do not call the school.  Please call (1-800) 284-9711.  Go Green!  For every 3 magazines sold to the same address, AP Hearst will plant one tree in the name of Tilden MS.

AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING FOR SPANISH – On Wed. & Thurs. afternoons, Rm. A251 and Rm. A237 from 2:50pm – 4:00pm starting today, Wed., Oct. 15  In addition to having teachers available to help, there will be members of the WJ Spanish Honor Society to help you with your Spanish. This is open to all levels, any student taking Spanish.

STEP TEAM PRACTICE – All 6th, 7th, & 8th grade girls!  Practice starts soon so keep listening for the morning announcements for Cheerleading practice.  See Mrs. Gilman for any questions, Rm. A260 during MAP.  See you there!

ANY STUDENT WHO TAKES A BUS FROM THE ACADEMIC SUPPORT CENTER – that is not planning to go home on their regular afternoon bus needs to stop by the Academic Support Center at MAP to either sign up for the activity bus or let us know their transportation arrangement but remember, don’t sign up today for any after-school activities because there are none today.
