Principal's Message
Hello! I am the new principal of South Lake Elementary School, and I am thrilled to be a part of the South Lake community. I come to you with twelve years of experience in education. In my career, I have served as a Head Start teacher, fourth and fifth grade teacher, reading specialist, and school administrator. My educational background includes degrees from the University of South Carolina and the University of Florida.
I am originally from South Carolina; however, I have made Silver Spring, MD my home for the last six years. In my spare time, I love to read young adult fiction and biographies, collect art, travel abroad, and exercise. As the new school year begins, I look forward to meeting all of you. I know that my experience at South Lake Elementary School will enrich my life in many ways!
