Dear Parents and Community Friends,
Welcome to Rock View Elementary School, home of the Roadrunners. We are looking forward to a great year, and we are pleased to have you as partners in this 2011-2012 school year. It is very important to us that our parents, guardians, and the entire community feel at home and welcome at Rock View. Without your support we would not be the great school that we are. We will continue to keep you informed and updated of all events and activities occurring at Rock View.
Rock View Elementary is a great place to learn, and we celebrate learning every day. Our students pledge each day to do their personal best towards performance excellence. We recognize academic achievement in a variety of ways, from the Principal’s Wall of Fame to our Shout Outs, where students get on the announcements and celebrate individual academic achievements.
We are also focusing on student character development this year. Throughout the year, we will learn about the six pillars of character; trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship. The students will learn about the meaning of these six pillars through guidance lessons. We will also recognize individual students who demonstrate these characteristics.

Queridos padres y amigos de nuestra comunidad,
Bienvenidos a la Escuela Elemental de Rock View, hogar de los Correcaminos. Estamos muy ilusionados con este nuevo año y agradecidos de tenerles como compañeros en este curso escolar 2011-2012. Es muy importante para nosotros que nuestros padres, tutores y toda la comunidad se sienta como en casa y bienvenida en Rock View. Sin su apoyo no podríamos ser tan un escuela tan buena. Continuaremos manteniéndoles informados y al día de todos los actos y actividades que tengan lugar en Rock View.
La escuela elemental Rock View es un gran lugar para aprender, y eso lo celebramos cada día. Nuestros estudiantes se comprometen diariamente a dar lo mejor de si mismos para alcanzar la excelencia. Los logros académicos son reconocidos en distintas formas, desde la Pared de la Fama del Director, hasta nuestros Anuncios, donde los estudiantes celebran logros académicos personales.
También este curso nos centraremos en el desarrollo del carácter de nuestros alumnos. A lo largo del año, aprenderemos sobre los seis pilares del carácter, honradez, respecto, responsabilidad, justicia, solidaridad y ciudadanía. Los alumnos aprenderán sobre su significado mediante lecciones de orientación. Asimismo, reconoceremos a aquellos entre los estudiantes que demuestres esas características
