Welcome to Our School

Potomac Elementary School has a tradition of 91 years of excellence in education. Our Chinese Immersion Program has received national media attention. We are also an  arts integration  school where teachers develop expertise in integrating the arts with other instruction, such as social studies or science, and it is designed to help all students learn with more motivation and ease.  Potomac Elementary School also was designated as a  Maryland Green School and a National Geographic Eco School in 2014.

Early School Closure for Potomac ES

Potomac Elementary School has been approved to close one day early so that staff has time to pack up classrooms and offices in preparation for our move to the Radnor holding school. The Montgomery County Public Schools schedule currently runs through and early release day on June 15, 2018. This means that Potomac Elementary School's schedule will run through an early release day on June 14, 2018.  In the event that the school year is extended, our last day of school for students will be one day before the last day for the rest of MCPS.
