Potomac Elementary School has a tradition of 90 years of excellence in education. From serving students in a rural community in the early 1900’s to developing programs to meet the needs of students in our thriving suburban setting today, the Potomac Elementary staff remains on the cutting edge of instructional strategies. One of our programs, Chinese immersion, has received national media attention. Our school colors are green and white; our mascot is the mustang.

We, the students, staff and parents of Potomac ES, will work together to tap the potential of every learner. Through hard work, dedication, and a love of learning, we will reach the highest levels of achievement, while valuing and respecting each other, in a safe positive learning environment
