  • Gray wolves can have black, white , brown or gray fur depending where they live.
  • Wolfs are wild dogs.
  • Red wolfs are not really red. Instead there black, gray and reddish brown.
  • The ancestors of wolfs lived more than 50 millions years ago.
  • Wolfs are members of a dog family called Canidae. All dogs are related to wolves.
  • Most male wolfs weigh more than 100 pounds.
  • Wolfs are hunters.
  • Wolfs have a keen sense of smell for sniffing their prey.
