SSR@ EMS

At Eastern Middle School we are committed to creating opportunities that support each and every student being the best that they can be. Recently we have been investigating ways to help all students improve their reading ability. The research we found told us that in order to be a better reader a person must read 20 minutes per day. The teachers discussed the research and decided that our TCB time could and should be used to give everyone at Eastern 20 minutes to read every day. More info...

Seeking Career Day Presenters

In preparation, we are seeking dynamic presenters to share information about their career and education to students in grades 6-8. We hope that you will join us by sharing your experiences and exposing our students to the array of career pathways that are available. Please complete the attached form and return it to the Counseling office. Our fax number is 301-650-6699.
