Message From Our Assistant Principal
Welcome to a new school year, Page Penguins! It is my honor and privilege to be a part of this wonderful community. I am anxious to meet and greet the many smiling faces that will pass through the doors and hallways of our school and look forward to having the opportunity to get to know you. I received my education from different parts of the country and overseas, as I lived and transferred to various schools in Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Germany, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia due to being an “Army Brat” and “Air Force” spouse. I graduated from Tennessee State University with a bachelor of science degree and received my masters’ degree from The Johns Hopkins University. My daughter attended Montgomery County Public Schools and graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). As a parent, I was pleased with the instruction my daughter received at MCPS and hope you experience the same. I have gained leadership experience over the last 20 years, in management positions for corporate environments and then transitioned to education. I was an elementary teacher for eight years in the county and later received my Administration and Supervision Certification from McDaniel and Catholic Universities which helped prepare me for this leadership opportunity. As the assistant principal, my goal is to help students reach their highest potential as life-long learners and support the staff and community in those efforts. Working together, we can ensure that our students are on the path of being college and career ready. I look forward to meeting many of you as we embark on this journey to help our students continue to achieve academic, social, and emotional success at William Tyler Page Elementary School.
