Our goal is to help each child develop the self-discipline to make good choices. Together the home, school and community share the responsibility for developing good citizens. Parents, staff and students must work together to maintain a safe learning environment.

W.T. Page ES will be utilizing a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Program, or PBIS, to recognize the positive contributions of both staff and students. Students who follow the school expectations in school locations (bus, cafeteria, hallway, playground, classroom, etc.) can earn Penguin Points and Dojo Points.

Penguin Points are paper points that any staff members can award to any students. If Ms. Brown sees a 2 nd  grade student respectfully and responsibly walking down the hallway, Ms. Brown can award that student a Penguin Point.

In addition to Penguin Points, our primary method of recognizing and reinforcing positive behaviors is ClassDojo. ClassDojo is a behavior management as well as a communication tool that provides opportunities for positivity throughout the school community. All teachers in grades 3-5 and majority of teachers in grades K-2 are utilizing ClassDojo for reinforcing positive behavior.
