Eastern MS and Tacoma MS Magnet Programs:

This year, NO APPLICATIONS are required.  Students in the Wootton HS cluster are part of a “field test” which means students WILL NOT be submitting an application this year.

In late November, All Grade 5 students will be reviewed centrally and will receive a letter in the mail if he/she is a potential candidate for one of these magnet programs.

If your child receives a letter, he or she will be tested in January 2018.

Parents can request that their child to be evaluated for eligibility for these programs.

Parents are encouraged to attend an informational meeting on Oct. 12, 2017 at Montgomery Blair HS at 5:30 (last name A-M) and 7:30 (last name N-Z).                 You will receive a Connect Ed message about this meeting.

Admission to the both of these programs is very competitive.  Multiple criteria will be used to evaluate candidates which include previous grades and assessment data.

Students who are admitted into one of these programs will be provided with transportation.
