Earth Day- Walking School Bus

Earth Day Walking School Bus

On a crisp, bright spring day, clusters of students and their families met at their regular bus stops as others joined along the way to walk their school bus route instead of riding the bus in celebration of Earth Day.  Members of the staff and faculty were eager to participate in this event and met the larger crowd at the rally point, Franklin and Wire Avenue.  The event drew attention to the need to conserve energy.

During the past several weeks, Highland View students have been working on activities focusing on the importance of Earth Day and discussing ways that everyone can take action to keep our environment healthy.
