Vision Statement

As a model full service school, Harmony Hills Elementary School will eliminate educational racial disparities so that race is not a predictor of academic achievement by collaborating with parents and community.

Mission Statement

The mission of Harmony Hills Elementary School is to develop academic identities of our students and embrace their cultural diversity as they become life-long learners and responsible citizens.

Our Program

Harmony Hills is a Title I school in the Wheaton Cluster.

Parent education and empowerment are critical focus areas for us. Each fall and spring, each grade level hosts Family Math and Family Reading Nights. Parents and children come to school and learn together and leave with materials that can be used at home. Parents are involved in our decision-making bodies: the School Improvement Team, and committees such as the Family Involvement, Discipline, Technology,Gifted and Talented Committees and the On-Site EmergencyTeam . Together, parents, community members and staff provide a wide range of opportunities for students to learn and grow.

Guiding Principles

  • Honor and respect our students' racial and cultural differences
  • Act on the belief that high expectations will develop strong academic identities in all students.
  • Develop students' abilities to apply technology so that they can compete in a global society.
  • Empower parents and community to support student achievement through participation and partnership.
  • Collaborate with Linkages to Learning to promote good physicl and mental health, and a healthy lifestyle.
