Weekly Update - March 5, 2017

Good evening Drew Dolphin Community!

As you know, we are entering the mid-way point in the 3rd marking period. Interim reports will be coming home on Thursday for any child who may need additional supports in order to reach the academic expectations and benchmarks for the current year. Please reach out to your child’s teacher with any concerns you may have.

We are delighted to share some wonderful happenings at Drew! We are extremely excited to have been selected to participate in the WTOP Click for Kids Sweepstakes to win money for our school! The way to win is easy- get the most votes! For this, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Voting begins 3/6/17. You just need to go to http://wtop.com/contests/2017-click-for-kids-voting/ and click on Montgomery County, then on Dr. Charles R. Drew. You must be 13 or older to vote and can do so once a day from 3/6/17 until 3/17/17 @ 5:00 p.m.

Please help us spread the word to any local businesses, friends and family. Social media is an excellent way to get the word out! You can copy the link and send it out! 
Attached is the flyer with more information. Grand prize is $15K, First runner up is $10K and 2nd runner up prize is $5K.

The PTA is working on a number of special events coming this weekend:
The PTA's International Night and Talent Show are this Friday, March 10, from 7-9 p.m. at Drew. We will also feature our Silent Auction.

The very next day on Saturday, March 11, your Drew PTA will team up with 5 other PTAs to host the 1st annual March Madness Fam Jam! Join us from 2-5 p.m. at the Blake High School gym for tournament games, food, music, and more!

Please visit www.drewespta.org to reserve a table, sign up for the talent show, contribute to the Silent Auction, and volunteer or play at the basketball event! We really need more sign-ups! Come help us out!
