Weekly Update - February 19, 2017
Good evening Drew Dolphin Families!
We hope you enjoyed the beautiful, warm weather during the long holiday
weekend. Last week the student had a wonderful opportunity to participate
in the African American Read-In with volunteer readers from the National
Council of Negro Women. Check out the school webpage for pictures of this
special event!
This Thursday, the 3rd graders will go on a field trip to Carderrock Navel
Warfare Center. The 5th Grade Family Life Parent Informational meetings
will also be Thursday at 6: p.m. in the Media Center.
This week we also had a nice sendoff to Mrs. Glawe who supported our school for
the past seven weeks. We will officially welcome back Mrs. Means Harris
on Thursday when she returns to the building. She and I will slowly
transition back to our positions as we finish out this school year. I
thank you for all of the student and community support provided to me during my
take over. The Drew Community trues is one of the best in MCPS!
Enjoy your evening and as always, we are excited to welcome back our students
on Tuesday morning and Mrs. Means Harris on Thursday morning! Mrs.
