Good evening Drew families- We wanted to be sure you get this message early in case you will be caught up watching the Super Bowl this evening! We have a rigorous instructional week planned for the students.  This Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m., the PTA will be presenting an informational seminar by Maryland 529, formerly the College Savings Plans of Maryland.   Maryland 529 will discuss the Maryland Prepaid College Trust and the Maryland College Investment Plan.  Light refreshments and child care for potty-trained, elementary-age children will be provided by Academy. On Wednesday, report cards will be distributed.  We encourage you to talk to your child about his/her progress and any goals he/she may have for the second half of the year.  Each student’s success is important to us!  Please see the Drew website for information on the Summer Opportunities Fair (https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/mainstory/story/523009/Summer-Opportunities-Fair/ ) that will Wednesday, February 8th, at 7:00 p.m. at Carver Educational Service Center. There will be many representatives and resources for a variety of summer opportunities for school-aged children.  Session 3 Club registrations will be coming home this Thursday.  Please take a look at the exciting opportunities our teachers are offering! Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. we will host our SBC/LAD Parent Meeting.  We have several speakers and a wealth of resources to share that we think will be of great benefit.  On Friday, the 2nd grade will take a WSSC In-House field trip. As a final reminder from the PTA, box top submissions are due by February 20th!  Please continue to send in those box tops as they are a valuable resource of funds for our school!
