Daly ES Principal

I would like to introduce myself as the principal of Captain James E. Daly, Jr. Elementary School.

In 1992 I began my career in education with Montgomery County Public Schools as a special education paraeducator at Beverly Farms Elementary School in Potomac. From there I worked at Cedar Grove Elementary. While I was a paraeducator I returned to school to earn my teaching degree. I taught second, third, and fourth grade at Ronald McNair Elementary in Germantown. I went into school administration in 2005 after receiving my masters degree from Bowie State University. I was the assistant principal at Summit Hall Elementary School in Gaithersburg. My next administrative assignment was as principal intern at Cannon Road Elementary School in Silver Spring. After successfully completing the principal intern program, I was appointed as principal of Daly Elementary School.

I’ve spent most of my life in Montgomery County but pride myself in being a Navy Brat. I was born in London, England and lived in Rome, Italy for several years during my elementary school days. My mother was a teacher and administrator in Montgomery County Public Schools. She is the reason I am where I am today. I am happy to report she continues to serve the children in the county by volunteering her time at Daly Elementary.

I live in Germantown with my husband and twin daughters. I am the proud mother of six children. I love my family and enjoy spending time with them.
