GIVE BACKpacks

MCPS Office of Community Engagement and Partnerships (OCEP) has launched the GIVE BACKpacks campaign for the fourth year in a row to raise funds to coordinate the giving of backpacks and school supplies to students at local schools who need them. A $10 donation will supply a new backpack filled with school supplies for one student. Click here for more information.

BHES Student at National Spelling Bee!

Fifth grader JJ Chen will be representing Montgomery County in the Scripps National Spelling Bee during the last week in May! On Friday, May 20th, he made an appearance on ABC's Good Morning Washington. Click here to see our Bradley Hills student quiz the hosts!

Camp Imagination - Science and Writing Camp

We are happy to share that Wood Acres will be hosting Camp Imagination- Science and Writing Camp.  The program will run from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Wednesday July 6 through Friday, July 24, 2016 at Wood Acres. Please see the attached letter for additional information and a registration form.

End of School Year

As a result of this winter's inclement weather, MCPS has announced that the school year will be extended to Monday, June 20. This will be an early release day. Our students will be dismissed at 12:55 p.m. Friday, June 17 will now be a full day of school. End-of-year classroom parties will be held on Friday, June 17 as originally planned. They will be begin at 2:00 p.m. The clap out for the fifth grade students will remain on Friday, June 17 as previously scheduled. This will begin at 3:00 p.m. 

PARCC Testing Schedule

PARCC testing will begin on Monday, May 9th for students in grades three through five. Please click here to see the full schedule.

Kindergarten Orientation

Registration has begun for Kindergarten Orientation, to be held on Thursday and Friday, May 5th and 6th. Parents of incoming kindergarten students should come to the main office to pick up a packet and sign up for an orientation timeslot. If you know of other community members who have a student who will begin kindergarten at Bradley Hills in the fall, please encourage them to come register as well. 

Choice Study Community Dialogue

MCPS has released a study of the district's school choice and other special academic programs. See the attached flyer for information about upcoming  Choice Study Community Dialogues  to discuss the study's recommendations and the vision for choice in MCPS.

Spring Break Programs at Montgomery College

This one week technology program is offered for students aged 8–14, from Tuesday–Friday, March 29–April 1, on the Germantown campus of Montgomery College. Click here for additional details.
