Argyle Middle School is offering SUMMER SCHOOL classes in READING or MATH for our rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Classes students take will consist of a review of concepts learned during the previous school year, as well as a preview of curriculum students will be taught during the 2017-2018 school year. Our three (3) week program will be held from Monday, July 10th through July 28th from 8:00 AM to 11:15 AM. Students will be enrolled on a first come, first serve basis and class sizes are limited!!! The DEADLINE for registration forms is Friday, June 9th.
All SSL forms for hours worked this semester must be completed and turned in to Ms. Hart in the counseling office by Friday, June 2nd. SUMMER Pre-Approval RequestsNon-profit organizations that are not identified with the MCPS SSL approved medallion on the Montgomery County Volunteer Center website require pre-approval.The MCPS Form 560-50-Individual Student Service Learning Request must be submitted and approved by Ms. Hart, Argyle’s SSL Coordinator, in advance. All Pre-Approval Requests must be submitted in a timely manner. There is a two-week allowance for SSL Coordinators to review the request for approval or denial based on compliance with MCPS SSL Program.

Costa Rica Spring Break 2017
Saturday, May 20, students from the Innovative Minds 1 class will be showcasing their interactive sculptures at the KID Museum's Family Celebration. This is the culmination of our 5 field trips to the museum over the past few months.

July 10-14, 2017 OR July 17-21, 2017 Girls will challenge their minds by strengthening their problem solving skills and learning object-oriented programming using Java. They will nurture their bodies and well-being through meditation and yoga. Each day girls will enjoy Java programming classes, yoga instruction, hear from guest speakers, and tour the UMBC campus. At the end of the week the girls will showcase their week’s achievements. Girls in grades 3 and 4 will use Tynker programming and Lego WeDo® robotics.
