This year's Michael J. Doran Writing Contest has opened for submission!
The 1st place winner will receive $150, the 2nd place $100, and the 3rd place $50. Honorable Mention awards may also be given out. The winners will be recognized and the winning stories will be published in the school newspaper.

Potomac Education Center, a local tutoring company specializing in SAT/ACT tutoring, is offering an ACT Mock Test on Sunday, December 17 for the first twenty (20) Wootton students.
The cost for this testing is $20.

NHS Application 2017-2018
-What is it?- A poetry recitation contest from the Poetry Foundation and National Endowment for the Arts.
-When and where is it?- After school on Monday Dec. 4th for underclassman and Tuesday Dec. 5th for upperclassman in room 253. (If you can’t make it for your respective recitation day, come on the other day.
Club Photo Day is Thursday, November 30 th ! Please see your sponsor for passes so that you can be included in the group photos.
Graduation will be held at DAR Constitution Hall. MCPS Central Office will release the date and time this fall. We will post this information on the Wootton website when it is made available to us, likely sometime in late fall. We are collecting graduation dues and student information for the cap and gown order, ticket requests,

On November 2nd at 7pm we held our 9th grade parent information session in the auditorium. Information was given on a variety of topics including graduation requirements, grading and reporting, student supports and planning ahead. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend! For those of you who were unable to attend the presentation from the evening it is attached here.
