2026-27 Disclipline Policy
Last school year, 41% of our discipline referrals involved disruptions in the cafeteria, classroom, hallway, restroom, and playground. These disruptions interrupted teaching and learning and impacted students’ well being. In processing events with students, they often said they don’t know why they did what they did, or that they were ‘just joking’. These continue to be target areas for this school year. Our goal is to provide students with the skills they need to self-regulate, to think before they act, and to own their mistakes. We need your help and collaboration as we work together to support a safe and welcoming learning environment for all. Please take time to review the school rules with your child as we are teaching them to be accountable and responsible for their actions and behavior. We NEED ALL students to demonstrate The Westover Way and can’t do it without you!! Discipline Policy2026-2027
