About Our School
Vision
Summit Hall is a community of students, families and staff dedicated to developing a welcoming, equitable, healthy, and anti-racist culture. We expect each individual to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
Mission
Our Summit Hall Community will work together to create an environment that welcomes everyone, provides inclusive opportunities for all, and challenges racism. Our learners will develop critical thinking skills, build social/emotional intelligence, and meet or exceed high expectations. Staff will provide supportive, engaging, culturally relevant, and purposeful instruction to prepare students as lifelong learners.
In our community, the students and their families bring a wonderful mix of cultures, languages, and experiences that enrich all our lives. Our school, built in 1971, is home to our more than 400 students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th. We are also fortunate to have one of our county's original Linkages to Learning sites at our school, combining county government agencies and MCPS programs to assist both our parents and students. Our very talented and dedicated staff members are committed to making our students successful.
