British Invasion

Kensington Parkwood hosted four teachers from Hertfordshire, England during the week of October 26 – 30.  They were part of a group of teachers visiting MCPS who are interested in promoting creativity in their schools.  The arts integration program provided a natural connection to creativity and an opportunity to observe our teachers and students engaged in creative learning.  Susan Cafolla was partnered with Ms. McIntosh, Ms. Saphire, and Ms. Stern from our first grade team.  Kindergarten teacher Ms. Delaney hosted Victoria Dalton and third grade teacher Ms. Castillo hosted Rachel Simon.  Hannah Dogherty divided her time among the fourth grade team, organized by Ms. Stewart.  Other KP teachers that shared their knowledge with the visitors included Ms. Liess, Ms. Whalen, Ms. Schwartz, Ms. Mellott, Mr. Harp, Mr. Serafini, Ms. Monticelli, Ms. Kelley-Connor, and Mr. Komlos.  Our guests especially enjoyed participating in the Halloween parade and parties on Friday!
