Applying to MBLI is simple. MBLI is a tuition-free public charter school open to all Montgomery County students.

How to Apply

1. Learn About MBLI
Visit www.MBLI-MD.org to explore MBLI’s academic program, school culture, and approach to learning.

2. Submit an Online Application
Families apply through Lotterease, the official application and lottery platform used by MBLI.

3. Apply During the Enrollment Window
MBLI accepts applications during its annual enrollment period. Families are encouraged to apply early within the open window.

4. Lottery & Seat Offers (If Needed)
If the number of applications exceeds available seats, a lottery is conducted in accordance with public charter school requirements. Families are notified directly through Lotterease regarding seat offers and next steps.

5. Confirm Enrollment
Families offered a seat will complete enrollment verification steps within the designated confirmation period to secure placement.
