The MECCA Business Learning Institute (MBLI) is Maryland’s first business-focused public charter school. MBLI serves Montgomery County students by combining strong academics with real-world learning experiences that prepare students for high school, college, career, and life. MBLI opened fall 2025 with grades 6 and 7 and will add one grade level each year through grade 12.

Additional Information

Meals: MBLI participates in MCPS Department of Food and Nutrition Services (DFNS). Students access and pay for meals the same way they would at their neighborhood MCPS school.

Uniforms: School uniforms support a focused, cohesive learning environment.

Health Services: On-site health services are available to support student wellness and respond to health needs during the school day.

Safety & Security: MBLI implements school safety and security practices, including controlled access procedures and on-site supervision, to support a safe and secure learning environment.

Transportation: Families are responsible for daily student drop-off and pick-up. MBLI does not provide school transportation at this time.

Location: MBLI is located in Germantown at its permanent campus.
