Music

Mr. Sinni is our music teacher. He meets with each class weekly. In addition to weekly music visits by each classroom, there are special programs like the Second Grade Chorus and instruction on recorders. The students present a Winter Concert each year for our family and community.

Groups You Can Perform With

The Children’s Chorus of Silver Spring is a fairly new organization that shows great promise. The director, Lou Persic, is a fine conductor and he has great plans for this organization. In addition to the chorus you can also perform with Lou’s African Drumming group, called Sojo, which tours with the chorus. Sojo has performed here at Montgomery Knolls and was very well received. Both groups rehearse at the Luther Rice Memorial Church located here in Silver Spring.
