Montgomery County Public Libraries Digital Resources

Individuals who do not currently have a library card can sign up online for the recently launched Digital Library Card. This gives cardholders immediate access to most online services and resources. Digital Library Cards can be obtained online at https://mcpl.link/DigitalCard, and can be exchanged at any MCPL branch for a full-service library card once branches reopen.

MCPL online resources also include e-magazine and e-newspapers; online courses including Lynda.com; streaming videos, music and movies; language learning such as Rosetta Stone and Mango Languages; art and crafts through Creativebug; and more than one hundred more digital resources. All of MCPL’s digital resources can be accessed at https://mcpl.link/DigitalResources.
With the temporary closure of library branches, library programming has gone virtual. Storytimes are streaming at a variety of days and times, and many adult programs have moved online as well, with a focus on workforce development. Virtual programs can be found at https://mcpl.link/VirtualPrograms.

Curriculum Contingency Website

MCPS has set up a Curriculum Contingency Website with activities for all grade levels that can be found at     https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/curriculum/contingency .  Once you get to the website, select the appropriate grade level button and your child can click the Join Here button to enroll in the course.Your child will need to log in using their MCPS Google account which is their student ID@mcpsmd.net (for example 12346@mcpsmd.net)    The curriculum website works best on the Chrome browser

For Elementary students who do not know their login and password, a ConnectEd message will be sent to all Elementary households on Monday, March 16, 2020.
