Weekly Update for the Week of April 28, 2025
Good evening Cavalier Families. This is Ms. Adamson–Proud Principal of Kennedy High School–with your April 28th weekly update!
Please join us for the Annual Arts Extravaganza on Thursday, May 1st, starting at 5:00 PM, in the Auditorium Atrium. This very special night will feature the incredible work our students have created throughout the year. We especially want to shine a spotlight on our graduating seniors and our dedicated AP and IB Visual Art students, whose efforts truly reflect the heart and soul of Kennedy's artistic spirit. Please join us.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 17th for the 60th Anniversary Block Party. This event is for all the schools in the Kennedy Cluster, and it will be designed for families and students of all ages. Come out to meet the new principal, Mrs. Karla Arias. She will be on hand for a special meet and greet! We will have a moon bounce for kids, free food, as well as food trucks selling food, lots of resources for families, competitive games, and more. There will be a DJ as well as live music. It will be a great time. We hope to see you there!
Prom is June 6th, and tickets are on sale now. Students can pay in installments, if needed. See Mr. Aguilar in the Financial Office for more details. Some seniors have already earned free prom tickets by participating in the senior fundraisers. If you did not already participate, you can still purchase a ticket directly. Go to the financial office if you wish to purchase in regular installments.
The Spring Dance Showcase is coming up on May 9th. Please purchase your tickets online, using GoFan.
The Senior Awards Ceremony is May 20th. Students receiving awards will receive an invitation to join us for dinner and be recognized. Please mark your calendars if you know your student will receive an award.
Thank you all for your support; and remember, we are stronger together.
