6th Grade Washington, DC Field Trip
On Friday, April 17th, 2026 6th grade students will go on a field trip to Washington, DC and spend the day in museums and at memorials of their choosing. Students will design an itinerary in their English class and spend the day with their English class group and a chaperone carrying out their plan.
Date: Friday, April 17th, 2026
Time: Depart HWMS 8:45 a.m and return to HWMS by 2:45 p.m.
Cost: $38.00 per student DUE: Wednesday April 8th – To allow time to create student groups for this trip, it is important that students return their permission slip by the due date.

PLEASE NOTE: As we prepare for this exciting upcoming trip, we want to remind students and families about behavior expectations at Hallie Wells. Our school values the safety and well-being of all our students, and as such, we have expectations for behavior both in and out of the classroom. Our trip to the National Mall will involve a different atmosphere for students in unstructured public settings. Therefore, students who demonstrate poor behavior at Hallie Wells and do not meet the behavioral expectations in our student code of conduct will not be permitted to attend the field trip. Any student not attending the trip on April 17th will engage in academic programming at school.
