Darfur Research Project

For this project, you will be researching the current situation in Darfur.  After your research, you will be required to prepare and deliver a speech about what you learned. The focus of your research is to explain the problem and offer solutions.  Listed below are some guiding questions you should consider as you research.

Problem 

What is the conflict?
Why is it happening?
What is the history of the conflict?
What is the problem, as you see it?
Where is it taking place?
What are the effects on the victims?

Solution 

What can you do to help solve the problem?
What can other individuals do?
What should governments or other organizations do?
