Mission The Media Center provides instruction and resources to help students become enthusiastic readers, confident researchers, and capable users of information.
Access
The Media Center is open before school, at lunch whenever possible, and after school until 3pm on Monday, Wednesday & Friday and until 4pm on Tuesday & Thursday. Students also get a chance to check out books during DEAR time on a regular schedule.
Circulation
Students may check out up to three books at a time for up to two weeks.
Resources
The Media Center has an excellent fiction collection with lots of current and classic offerings selected for the middle school level. We also have 32 networked computers giving access to online research tools, presentation tools, and the internet.
Instruction
Classes in the Media Center are focused on reaching curricular goals for their subject area. Students will use books and online resources to build knowledge in many subject areas. Students will also use a variety of tools to organize and communicate the information they have acquired.
