Ms. Hilary Rosenberg, Resource Teacher
I grew up in Potomac, Maryland and graduated from Winston Churchill High School. I attended Syracuse University and earned a degree in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education. I always wanted to be a teacher! During high school I had an internship at my old elementary school. After that I knew I wanted to be a special education teacher. My favorite game as a child was 4-Square. My friends and I even had tournaments! I loved playing with toys, dress-up and anything that I could use my imagination. My favorite book was Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. I probably read the book over 20 times! My favorite aspect of teaching is when a child goes home smiling because he or she learned something new, and knowing that I helped that happen.
Ms. Andrea Rosales
I grew up in Miami, Florida. I went to the University of Florida for undergraduate studies and George Washington University for graduate school. I never wanted to do anything but teach! My favorite childhood activity was building puzzles. My most memorable book character was Winnie the Pooh. My favorite aspect of teaching is hearing what children have to say.

I am the pupil personnel worker (PPW) at Westover Elementary School. This is my third year working with the staff at Westover. I have been a PPW for 12 years. The school PPW assists staff with problem solving and special cases. I enjoy my job because I can help families with issues that may impact the education of their children. Prior to this job, I was an instructional specialist in the Department of Special Education in MCPS. I have been in education since 1974, when I started my teaching career in New Jersey, and have continued as a reading teacher and special educator in Maryland. I graduated from The College of New Jersey, did graduate work at Drexel University, and have a master’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University. I love to read and see really good films. I also enjoy fly fishing and kayaking on our wonderful Potomac River. I recently learned how to scuba dive and hope to do more diving this year. I am reading a good book entitled: A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.
