Construction Updates:
THE FIRST: On January 10, 2008, the Sediment Control Permit was issued for our construction project! Parts of our playground have been staked off and fenced so that construction can begin. The upper blacktop area of our playground will be completely closed off, as this will be the contractor’s staging location, where they will set up their construction trailer and all of their supplies and materials. We have waited a very long time for the work to begin and feel very confident that it will begin soon!
THE LATEST: October 12, 2009
In the last 2 weeks:
- Brick has been completed on the North wing
- Roof steel has been completed and is watertight
- Duct work is complete on the main office/Linkages areas
- Windows were installed in the main office area
- Masonry walls in the North wing are complete
During the next 2 weeks:
- Windows will be installed in the North wing
- Steps and the ramp will be poured in the North wing
- Painting will begin in the North wing and main office/Linkages areas
- Dry wall will be completed
In addition:
- The student bathroom light switches will be changed from manual to keyed
- Kindergarten toilets will be pulled out and replaced with a larger variety
- December 29 is the current completion date
