ONLY IN 3RD GRADE...
- In
correlation with our 3rd grade Crime Lab science unit, forensic
scientist Jennifer Greer from the Montgomery County Police Department
gave a presentation to our students. Ms. Greer explained how forensic
scientists work closely with police to solve crimes. Our students shared
their knowledge of the three kinds of fingerprints and were able to
make their own ink prints to take home!
- Social Studies - Technology connection: With their partner, Ms. Jacskon’s and Ms.Tunche’s 3rd graders used PowerPoint to create a slide where each pair explained one of our staff members’ role in our school: does he/she provide a good or a service? Which natural or capital resource(s) does he/she use to provide their good or service? In the process, they learned how to insert text and graphics into a PowerPoint slide and how to do format text.
