I graduated from Frostburg State College [which it was called in the “Dark Ages” -- now, it’s Frostburg State University] in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in French/Spanish. After college [and before Stonegate], I worked as a waitress at Fager’s Island in Ocean City, Red Lobster on Shady Grove Road, Raindancer on Rockville Pike [no longer there] and The Golden Bull in Gaithersburg, an administrative assistant for the American College of Physicians, a stay-at-home wife and mother, lunch/recess aide/ substitute teacher for MCPS. At the ripe old age of 50, I decided I wanted to be a media specialist when I grow up, and I am halfway through my Master’s in School Library Media/Instructional Technology from Towson University. I have been married for almost 27 years, have two sons [Ryan is almost 26 and Kevin is 23], a dog named Charlie and a cat named Sinatra. I officially became a grandma in May 2014 to Ella Rose, and she has red hair just like me!
