Meet the Reading Specialist
Ms. Moore-I am not a stranger to Sequoyah, but this is my first year here as Reading Specialist. I have been a teacher with Montgomery County Public School since 1994. During that time, I have taught ESOL, reading, writing, and test-taking success skills to children. I have also worked as a Reading Specialist at a previous school, and I have worked as a differentiation teacher, educational consultant, and teacher trainer. For the last few years I have been an academic intervention teacher here at Sequoyah. I passionately believe that all children can learn to read: no excuses, no exceptions.
I work part-time at Sequoyah and part-time for myself. When I am not working, I can be found at home on the farm, feeding the chickens or cows or playing with my dog.
