Paraeducators
Ms. S. Block I grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Sherwood High School. I have had the wonderful opportunity to work as a paraeducator at Sequoyah ES for the past 17 years. I live in Olney with my husband and have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. When I am not in Colorado visiting my precious grandsons, I enjoy spending time at my place at the beach.
Ms. W. Block I grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Sherwood High School. I received my Bachelor's degree in communications from Radford University in 2008. I feel very lucky to have joined the Sequoyah family this year as a special ED paraeducator. I have a dachshund named Roxy and I love spending time at the beach.
Mrs. Bloom: I am the IDA (Instructional Data Assistant) at Sequoyah. This is my third year entering and analyzing data here at Sequoyah and my fifth year with MCPS. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have a wonderful husband, three children and five grandchildren. My favorite things are playing with my grandchildren, traveling, working in my garden, riding my bike and cooking healthy meals.
Ms. Labeach: I am a Para Special Education Teacher at Sequoyah Elementary. I am currently teaching fourth grade math and reading. I am attending Trinity University to attain my Bachelors in Human Relations and Education Degree. I have two children ages 9 and 18. I enjoy the outdoors and meeting people.
Ms. McNamara
Ms. Pflieger - This is my sixteenth year as a paraeducator at Sequoyah. I am a product of Montgomery County Public Schools. I have four wonderful sons (who ALL attended Sequoyah!!) and my husband, Tom and I, live in Rockville. I am a runner and enjoy competing in races around the metro area. My husband and I love spending time at the beach.
Ms. Rascona
I have been working for MCPS for 11 years. I have been at Sequoyah for 9 of those years. I live in the Olney area with my husband and two children and our dog, Coco. I have a son attending his first year at Montgomery College and a daughter who is a cheerleader at Sherwood High School. I love to travel to our home in Italy, the beaches in Florida and Ocean City. I enjoy gardening, walking, and reading mysteries.
