NBMS's first mass conferencing event was an enormous success. Report cards were distributed on Tuesday, November 11.
For girls interested in basketball, please try to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, November 20, 2008, after school from 2:50 - 3:30 in Mr. Guise's room, A203.
Parents will need to pick up students at 3:30, as there will be no one to be in charge of the students until the activity buses come.
Boys’ Tryouts: December 2, 3, and 4 at 3 PM.
Girls’ Tryouts: December 9, 10, and 11 at 3 PM.

Volunteers are needed to help spruce up the grounds at the Smith Center (MCPS’ Outdoor and Environmental Education Center) on November 22 at Yoke Day. If you are interested please see Ms. Reed in A107. You can earn SSL hours for this event.

Thursday, November 20th meet Dr. Catherine Fallick, Cardiologist
Dr. Fallick is a cardiologist who sees patients in an office and in hospitals. She works to figure out causes of shortness of breath, chest pain, and fatigue. If you are interested in science, specifically medicine and caring for others, come for lunch Thursday in room A203. Chats will be held during 6th and 7th grade lunch.
Friday, November 21st meet Handel Mlilo, Communications Specialist
Mr. Mlilo is a veteran communications specialist with more than 20 years experience in national and international arenas. He has worked in Canada, Ethiopia, and Zimbabwe and currently does communication training for Safe Schools Healthy Students and National Suicide Prevention Lifeline initiatives. If you like to work with other people, talk, and travel, come meet Mr. Mlilo Friday during 6th, 7th or 8th grade lunch in B205.
Sign ups are posted in the guidance office. Make sure to sign up for your lunch period. We recommend you bring your lunch from home to maximize your time at the chat.
