Athletics
The following forms are needed to participate on any Athletic team:
Calling all athletes……Students in the 7th and 8th grade who are academically eligible may try out for the athletic sports teams here at Lakelands Park Middle School. In the fall, students may tryout for the coed cross country team and/or the boys and girls softball teams. In mid November, tryouts will be held for the boys and girls basketball teams. Finally, in mid March, tryouts for the boys and girls soccer teams will commence.
The middle school athletic program runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:45 until 4:15 unless it is game day when contests can run longer. Players will need to secure a ride home on those days.
In order to be academically eligible, students must have a 2.0 grade point average.
Health Inventory forms must be current for two calendar years from the date of the physical. These forms are available on this website, or from the coaches.
No student will be permitted to tryout if they do not have the proper paperwork. This is a county policy and there will be no exceptions.
Activity buses will be available to students to ride home after practices and tryouts.
