Mary O'Neill-Wood

O'Neill-WoodMy name is Mrs. Mary O'Neill-Wood.  I have been teaching in Montgomery County for 14 years.  I have taught high school photography, ceramics, and design.    I received my undergraduate degree in Studio Art from the University of Maryland, College Park  and my graduate degree in Art Education from the University of Maryland in Baltimore.  In addition, I have worked at the Corcoran and Hirshhorn museums.

We have planned another exciting and productive year for the children.  We will explore a wide variety of art concepts and materials.  Children will look at art, talk about art, as well as create art.  In addition, art activities will be coordinated with  grade level classroom curriculum.

If you would like to learn more about the art program at Forest Knolls, I invite you to  browse through our updated web art gallery.  Thank you for taking an interest in our art education program.
