Parent Conferences - November 10, 2014

    Roberto Clemente Middle School (RCMS) will hold Parent Conferences on Monday, November 10, 2014.   This is an opportunity for you to conference with your child’s teacher about his/her first quarter grade performance. Your child will receive his/her report card on November 12, 2014.  If you need current grade information, you can access your child’s Edline account.  

      

    In elementary school, there is an expectation for all parents to attend conferences. In middle school, however, conferences are designed to help students who are experiencing challenges.  These conferences will give the parent and the teacher the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and share strategies and best practices to promote student success.  Please remember that you can always arrange for an individual conference with any of your child's teachers throughout the year by contacting the teacher directly.  If you are concerned about your child’s performance in multiple subjects, please contact your child’s counselor. 

      

    There are three ways in which you will be able to conference with a teacher on Monday, November 10, 2014: (1) Sign up via website, (2) Walk ins, (3) Scheduled team conferences

      

    Please make sure you fill out the parent survey at the conclusion of this event. Your feedback is important as we continue to support the needs of our parent community.     CONFERENCES

    Sign up by appointment via website.  This is for parents who are interested in conferencing with a specific teacher /subject area.    

      

    Sign-up by appointment will be open from 9:00am on Thursday, 10/30 through 9:00pm on Thursday, November 6.  You will find a link for a list of teachers posted on the RCMS web site by 9:00am on 10/30.  Click on the link on that list for a teacher to sign up for a 7-minute appointment slot.

    Dinner Scheduled for all Teachers

    Walk-in Conferences. This is for parents to receive a quick “check-in” with their child’s teachers.

    6:30-7:30 

    Team Conferences by scheduled appointment: These conferences are pre-scheduled by counselors at the request of teachers based on need.
