2-Dimensional Design Portfolio

The 2-dimensional design portfolio is similar to the Drawing Portfolio but is not the same thing. It can include a wider range of mediums such as pencil/colored pencil drawings, painting, printmaking, mixed media, digital imaging, graphic design, and photography. In this portfolio the principles of design, balance, and the visual elements are stressed. You should have at least twenty-four pieces. Twelve must be in your concentration section, and twelve must be in your breadth section. You also have to include five for your quality section. You also need to take slides of your works, the teacher can help you with this, but there is a fee.

Section I: Quality Five drawings, maximum size is 18" x 24"
Section 2: Concentration 12 slides, though some slides can be detail shots.
Section 3: Breadth 12 works, one slide of each.
