COVID-19 Vaccinations for 5 to 11 Year-Olds

Dear Montgomery County Public Schools Community,

Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for 5-to-11-year-olds is expected to be authorized for emergency use in the coming days. MCPS is partnering with the county’s Department of Health and Human Services and Holy Cross Hospital to offer a number of free vaccination clinics for children at schools and county sites once the vaccine is available.

Clinic dates, times and locations will be released soon. Parents/guardians who have not received a COVID-19 vaccine and would like one, or those who need a booster, will be able to do so at these clinics as well.

We expect that vaccines will be available through many resources, including pediatricians, pharmacies, community and school clinics. Parents are strongly encouraged to check with their pediatricians on scheduling an appointment.

COVID-19 vaccines can help keep children safe and in school. Parents can visit COVID-19 Vaccines for Children and Teens for general vaccine information and to learn what to expect, including links to specific tips on how to support your children before, during and after their vaccination.

We are grateful for our partnership with DHHS and Holy Cross Hospital and are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our youngest learners and their families.

Please indicate your interest in having your child vaccinated by completing this form.
