MCPS Summer Rise Celebration

MCPS hosted their annual Summer RISE closing ceremony on July 25, 2024. Over 900 students participated in a 5 week program where they participated in career-based learning with businesses, government agencies, higher education institutions, and nonprofit organizations. Student Service Learning Information

All MCPS students must earn 75 SSL hours to graduate from high school. Middle school and high school students should continue earning SSL hours towards their SSL graduation requirement by engaging in SSL opportunities during the summer and the 2024-2025 school year. Girls With Impact Partnership

Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) has partnered with Girls with Impact to offer MCPS young women in grades 9-12 a FREE 10-week course in business and leadership. Registration begins October 7th. Read here to learn more about the program and how to register.

Road Safety PSA Contest & SSL Hours

The Association for Safe International Road Travel (ASIRT) and the Montgomery County Regional Student Government Association (MCR-SGA) are hosting a Public Service Announcement (PSA) competition centered on road safety.
