Welcome to Module 2 of Teaching the ESOL Student in the Mainstream Classroom.

Before we begin, let's review. In Module 1, you were introduced to English Language Learners and their specific needs. You also took a glimpse into the role of an ESOL teacher.

- understand the difference between Basic Interpersonal Communication Skills and Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency.

- become familiar with Paralinguistics and how it effects communication.
