High School Musical is a cultural phenomenon which has reached millions of children and parents with a great story about the importance of friendships and working as a team. Blake High School has been specifically selected by Disney as 1 of 7 schools nationwide to perform this first draft version of High School Musical. Currently in the process of performing the 9 performances, families from all over are coming to see this amazing performance, selling out every single performance! High School Musical is like this generations Footloose, and displays a wonderful message of, it doesn't matter how popular you are, you don't have to be what everyone believes you to be...don't stick to the status quo!
Meet the Director, Mr. Michael D'Anna. As the Producer and Director of the musical Mr. D'Anna is the man of the show. Disney showed a special interest in Mr. D'Anna when they came to him to perform the High School students version of High School Musical. Taking on such a big responsibility was a big risk, but was a risk worth taking! Obviously the cast and crew state that the musical is a big hit and the biggest success in Blake High School history-but what does the audience say? How about you ask them when they are giving a standing ovation after every showing or out in the lobby asking for autographs. Mr. D'Anna and his co-directors, Ms. Danielle and Dominique D'Anna, have done an excellent job developing this musical into a truly amazing show.
