Message from our Outdoor Education

 Sent August 22, 2018

Dear 6th Grade Parents (particularly dads!),

We need the following overnight male chaperone spots to be filled for Outdoor Education this October:
Session 1 (Oct 1 - Oct 3):  3 males still needed
Session 3 (Oct 10 - Oct 12):  3 males still needed

The Outdoor Education chaperone sign-up deadline is quickly approaching.  If you are interested in chaperoning overnight for Outdoor Education, you must email me with interest ASAP.  No parent will be able to sign-up after August 30th due to fingerprint-background check procedures.  I also have some "extra" overnight spots available for each session for a small fee.

Email me at Alexandra_E_Serna@mcpsmd.org as soon as possible if any of the above interests you!  The success of the program is not possible without awesome chaperones!!  Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,
Alexa Serna
Outdoor Education Coordinator

Message from PTSA President

Good morning parents and guardians,

On Monday, August 27th the PTSA will welcome back our amazing staff in preparation for the school year. It is our tradition to welcome them back with a variety of breakfast items that they can enjoy on their first day back.

Please consider contributing something if you are able to. Click here to see a list of contributions we will need for what we still need for the staff breakfast. Our staff is very deserving and they are very appreciative of any kind gestures. Please drop off contributions to the Julius West cafeteria on Monday, August 27th at 7:00 am.

Staff will enjoy breakfast from 7:30 until 8:20. There are approximately 100 staff members in the school building that will enjoy breakfast on the 27th.

If you would like to make a monetary contribution toward the breakfast you can send a check (made payable to JWMS PTA) and mail it to: JWMS PTSA, 651 Great Falls Road, Rockville, MD 20850.

Thank you all in advance!!!
