Westland offers numerous after school activities for its students. There is something for everyone! Our Wildcat Programs begin in September and will run Tues-Thurs each week. Students who live on a school bus route may take the activity bus home after school. All activities are held at the school.

Wildcat Programs fall into 2 categories - PTA Sponsored and School Sponsored. Below is information about the PTA Sponsored activities. Information will be available after school begins regarding the school-sponsored activities.

Enrichment Academies, Inc. (EAI) runs three 8 week sessions each year (fall, winter and spring). EAI provides an online catalog through the Westland listserv and website a week prior to the start of registration for each session. Limited paper copies of the catalog are available in the school and counselor offices.

The Montgomery County Board of Education requires payment of a $30 MCPS extracurricular activities (ECA) fee by middle or high school students who participate in extracurricular activities for the 2015/16 school year. This fee, payable to MCPS, is used to pay for after school activity buses, as well as to underwrite the costs of certain clubs and classes. Participants in ALL after-school activities must pay the ECA fee.

To pay the ECA fee on-line, Click Here. You will need your student's 6-digit ID number (can be found on any report card or other MCPS correspondence), as well as a credit card.

Scholarships are available for Wildcat Programs.

If you are interested in a scholarship for an afterschool activity, please contact Caryn Fischer, Westland Resource Counselor. The process is completely confidential. Even though the PTA enthusiastically supports the scholarships, no PTA volunteers are ever involved with their actual administration.
