Checkout Procedures

Students in kindergarten and 1st grade are allowed to check out one book at a time. Students in 2nd and 3rd grade are allowed to check out 2 books, or one book and one magazine. Fourth and fifth graders can check out 3 books, or 2 books and one magazine. Fifth graders can choose to check out Playaways as one of their 3 books, but must have permission from parents with a signed agreement. Books are checked out for a 2 week period. Books can be renewed once.

There are no overdue fines, however, students may not check out new books until all overdue items have been returned. Students should take proper care of their library materials, but we know accidents do happen. Lost or damaged items must be paid for before a child may borrow any more materials.

The library media center is open from 9:15 a.m. – 3:50 p.m.  Students may come to the library throughout the day as long as the student has a library card from their teacher. (Limit two students per class at a time).
