In music class at Carl Sandburg, students have the opportunity to express themselves in many ways. We emphasize the use the following percussion instruments to accompany our songs:
- Sand blocks
- Drums
- Triangles
- Tambourines
- Xylophones
- Claves
- Egg shakers
- Cymbals
In addition, we use movement activities and group games to teach fundamental musical concepts and to increase social skills. Students enjoy the opportunity that music class provides to be active participants in a musical environment.
