This week’s Rosemont Community Connection features five important messages.

Calendar Updates
- Monday, February 18 there will be no school for students.
- Monday, February 4 to Friday, February 22 our school will participate in Pennies for Patients. Bring in your pennies! Our school-wide goal is to raise $3,500.
- Thursday, February 28 from 6:30 – 7:30 is International Night. Come out and celebrate the diverse cultures and traditions in our community.  Families will share games, clothing, foods, and other unique activities from their culture or county.

Breakfast with Books
Come out and read with your child! Rosemont will be hosting Breakfast with Books.  A light breakfast will be available and there will be bookmarks for students to decorate.  We look forward to seeing you there.
- Grades 3, 4, and 5: Wednesday, February, 13, from 8:20 – 8:50
- Grades K, 1, and 2: Wednesday, February, 20, from 8:20-8:50

Lost and Found
Rosemont’s lost and found is filling up quickly. Please stop by the lost and found to locate your missing hats, gloves, scarves, and jackets. All items that have not been claimed by Friday, March 1, 2019, will be donated to charity.

Safety Drill
As an MCPS requirement, Rosemont must practice six safety drills during the 2018-2019 school year.  For the safety and security of our students and staff, we will conduct a fire drill this week.  Please remind students about behavior expectations during safety drills.

Open Door Policy
At Rosemont, we are committed to fostering positive relationships with students and families.  The administration has an open door policy and families are always welcomed. Unless it is an absolute emergency, please call the school to schedule an appointment whenever you wish to meet with an administrator. Scheduling an appointment will ensure the administration can provide you with the time and attention to address all questions and concerns.
