What does Wildcat Pride look like?
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a process for creating safer and more effective schools. The PRIDE TEAM is committed to facilitating a systems approach to enhancing the capacity of schools to educate all children by developing research-based, school wide, and classroom discipline systems. The process focuses on improving a school’s ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students. Rocky Hill’s PRIDE PROGRAM includes school-wide procedures and processes intended for all students in all settings.
The PRIDE PROGRAM IS NOT a curriculum. IT IS a team-based process for systemic problem solving, planning, and evaluation.
The PRIDE PROGRAM is at Rocky Hill Middle School is focusing on reinforcing our PRIDE messages consistently with daily announcements, posters, assemblies and school-wide incentives. We expect all students to be Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Disciplined and to demonstrate Effective Effort! Students who exhibit these behaviors on a consistent and ongoing basis will be recognized by staff members.
PRIDE events include our Kindness and Respect Theme for quarter 1, Anti Bullying theme for quarter two and a continuation of the Growth Mindset topic for quarter 3. Please speak with your children regularly about how they are demonstrating PRIDE on a daily basis.
